Fit Girls
Health is central to girls’ well-being. At Girls Inc., Fit Girls provides regular opportunities for girls age 9-12 to participate in sports and physical fitness in conjunction with weekly nutrition education classes. The program introduces girls to four 7-week/one-hour sessions softball, volleyball, basketball, and swimming. Exposure to good nutrition and participation in consistent physical activity as children and adolescents can increase girls’ chances of lifelong physical fitness and overall good health. Additionally, girls learn cooperative and competitive spirit.
