Operation SMART

Keeping girls interested in school and increasing minority participation in core subjects such as math and science is a goal to which we at Girls Inc. are whole-heartedly committed. Girls Inc. offers the program in an informal setting that provides a unique environment for overcoming traditional barriers to equal participation in science, math, and technology. In this setting, SMART (Science, Math, and Related Technology) engages girls in math and science education to overcome inequity in a supportive, experiential, all-girl environment. Hands-on activities give girls the opportunity to explore, ask questions, solve problems, and have fun.
